I’m Hazel Mohamedali—a chemical engineer shaped by research, real-world problem-solving, and a genuine interest in how things work.
My story
Curious by nature. Grounded in evidence.
I like the moment when a complicated problem starts to become clear—the variables connect, the path forward appears, and a good idea becomes something useful.
That instinct led me to chemical engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where I built a rigorous technical foundation and gained research experience. My path continued at the University of Michigan through graduate study and interdisciplinary work.
Today, Caterpillar is part of my professional story. I bring the same systems-level curiosity to industry that first drew me to engineering: understand the whole picture, respect the details, and keep learning.
Outside work, movement keeps me balanced. Travel resets my perspective; pickleball and tennis bring out my competitive side; time with the people I care about keeps everything else in focus.
